Your worship is your war ship. Not many believers realize this. They do not understand the power of worship so they don’t explore it. The unprecedented challenges thrown at us on the battle grounds of life can sometimes confound confuse and intimidate the soul. The spate of enemy attack and the multifarious dimensions of the faces of the enemy can astound the innocent Christian and make them give up on God.
In 2nd Chronicles Chapter 20, Jehoshaphat had this type of challenge hit him like lightning. Moab was coming, Ammon was following closely and countless others enemies beside were rushing after. Imagine yourself in a similar dilemma-between the devil and the deep blue sea. In the case of Moses and the Israelites, it was between the Pharaoh and the deep red sea. What a challenge! Jehoshaphat was afraid.vs3. Anyone would have been.
The first attempt of the king and his people was to pray. This is normal and required. The question however is every time we pray, do we expect answers? Are we sensitive to hear what God wants us to really do?
Mercifully, the Spirit of God came on a worshipper; the inspiration of God came on him and dislodged their fears. The people’s heads were bowed to God in worship and their spirits were lifted above their problem. The game changer was when the Levites stood up to praise the Lord.-that is what worship is all about. It is praising God for who he is.
The worshippers must have lifted God so high that God himself must have felt lifted. This kind of worship and praise forgets ego, status, problems and everything. When you can worship in the face of trouble, you are a worshipper. Can you praise God under pressure? Habb3:17, 19.
Through their worship, the heavenly war ship came down and destroyed their enemies. They did not need to fight (vs17). Stop fighting God’s battle. Your business is to worship. His business is to fight for you. Hallelujah!
